How it works

Every code, tested at the store's real checkout.

Most coupon sites list codes and hope. DiscountCode puts each code through the retailer's actual checkout, in a real browser, and watches what happens to the price.

If the total drops, we record the exact saving and take a screenshot. If it doesn't, we tell you that too. No guessing, no recycled lists.

Checking a code

Three steps, about two minutes.

1
Paste a product link
From any store we cover. No sign-up, no app, no browser extension — your cookies and basket are never touched.
2
We test every code at the real checkout
We add the product to a basket on the store's own site and try each code one at a time. You can watch it happen live.
3
See which codes actually work
Working codes show the exact discount and a proof screenshot. Copy the code and use it yourself — before you buy.
Behind the scenes

A real browser does what you would do.

There's no shortcut here — the only way to know a code works is to try it where you would: at the checkout. Our automated browser runs the whole journey on the store's live site.

Opens your product page
A fresh browser session loads the exact product link you pasted — picking a size or colour if the store needs one.
Adds it to the basket
Then walks to the checkout the same way a shopper would, past any pop-ups and delivery pages on the way.
Tries each code in turn
Every code we hold for the store is typed into the real discount box, applied, then removed before the next one.
Watches the total
A code only counts as working when the price actually drops. We record the exact saving and capture a screenshot as proof.

The test run never enters payment details or personal information — it stops at the discount box. And because it all happens on our side, nothing installs in your browser and your own session is never touched.

What the badge means

"Tested working" is a fact, not a promise.

When you see a Tested working badge on a code, it means our browser applied that exact code at that store's checkout and the total went down. We store the amount it saved, when it was tested, and the screenshot of the discounted basket.

Retailers pull codes without warning, so a code that worked yesterday can die today — that's why every badge carries its test date, and why you can re-run a check on any store whenever you want a fresh answer.

Every working code carries
The exact discount it produced
When it was last tested
A screenshot of the price drop
Codes that fail are marked too — a "didn't work" result is just as useful as a win.
The difference

Scraping lists is easy. Testing them isn't.

Typical coupon sites
Republish the same affiliate feeds as everyone else
Mark codes "verified" that no one has ever tried
Browser extensions test codes during YOUR checkout, inside your session and cookies
DiscountCode
Runs each code through the store's live checkout before calling it working
Shows the saving, the test date, and the screenshot behind every badge
Tests happen on our side, before you shop — your basket and cookies stay yours

See it work on something you're actually buying.

Paste any product link and watch the codes being tested live. It takes about two minutes and doesn't cost anything.
